Explore Communications Degree Courses at ASU

While pursuing your bachelor鈥檚 degree in communications at 羞羞视频, you鈥檒l learn to understand different models and theories of communication, how to effectively communicate, how to use technology to convey messages and how to inspire action.

Introduction to Human Communication: 

In this course, you will learn to understand communication as a dynamic and complex system of interactions. You鈥檒l focus on applying communication theories in everyday situations.

Interpersonal Communication:

This course is about the dynamics of face-to-face communication. Your work will focus on concepts such as interpersonal attraction, self-concept formation, nonverbal communication, relationship development and maintenance, responsive language and listening, conflict management and resolution and conversational analysis.

Strategic Social Media: 

You and your fellow students will learn how to develop and implement organizational social media campaigns for today鈥檚 workplace. Points of focus include strategy and strategic thinking, user personal development, content design and social media measurement.

Mass Media and Society: 

After this course, you will know more about the role mass media plays in society and its responsibilities. This includes the institutional functions and effects in the social, political, economic and cultural spheres affecting mass communication processes.

Talent Agency and Concert Promotion:

Go in-depth into the theoretical and practical aspects of presenting contemporary arts and entertainment performances. Areas you will cover include talent acquisition, contracts and riders, production, venues, budgeting, ticket services and promotion.
